I have a sears Kenmore tumble action washer model # 417.44082400 that keeps flashing error code E10. The washer keeps stopping every couple of minutes and flashes this code. It restarts when we hit start and sometimes it finishes out but it seems to be getting worse and stopping more often it usually stops about halfway through the cycle and then continues stopping the remainder of the cycle. I was wondering what this means?

The E10 error code indicates the control does not see a proper fill. Here are a few things you can easily check.

Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts.

Make sure the water supply is adequate, make sure the supply hoses are not kinked, and check the screens inside the inlet valves. This can also be caused by over sudsing. I have attached a portion of the tech sheet that explains this (see images below). This can be a tricky issue to find, I highly recommend calling a service professional to diagnose and repair your appliance. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

If you require further assistance please resubmit your question with details of the checks you have made. I will be looking forward to helping you again in the near future.
