I have a Craftsman 5 hp engine, model 143.965021, for a chipper shredder model 247.775850. I am replacing the extension spring and the governor link. How do they attach?

The old parts have been bent and are not hooked up.

The extension spring and governor link connect several different ways on Craftsman engines. I am sending you some images of different connections. Find the one that is closest to how your carburetor and governor arm look.

The governor link might have to be moved to different holes to attain the smoothest run and acceleration of the engine.
