Why is the display on my digital thermostat for the heat pump blank and not working?

The thermostat is P/N TSTAT0713. It's not the breaker, the breaker hasn't been tripped.

The thermostat will need to be checked to see if it's receiving the 24 volts necessary for it to operate. The wires on this thermostat will be located on the backplate. Remove the front cover of the thermostat and you will see the wires connected to the terminals (see picture). Be careful when making this check. Now check across the R and C terminals for 24 vac. If it has 24 volts there, the thermostat will need to be replaced. If there is no voltage there, the wires and furnace control will need to be checked. These checks will need to be done by a technician. I'm listing a site you can check to have a technician come out. Here is a link for the website:
