My dehumidifier, model 106555090, does not remove water. Why?

The compressor does not start. The fan stays on but the unit does not remove moisture at any setting.

The model number you sent does not run in our system. I can only give you some general information on your dehumidifier.

In order for the dehumidifier to remove moisture from the air, the compressor must be running.

Be sure the humidity in the room is higher than the setting on the dehumidifier. Try turning the humidity setting lower and see if the compressor starts.

The humidity control on the dehumidifier might have failed. The compressor or one of the compressor start components could have failed.

Diagnosing the problem with the dehumidifier will require someone to test the components. I recommend you take the dehumidifier in to a Sears Parts and Service Center or a Sears Retail Store for repair.
