Why does my washing machine take so long to fill with water?

I have a Kenmore washer model number 110.82983810 that takes too long to fill. Our washing machine starts to fill then the water just trickles for a while, then goes normal then trickles again, eventually it will go through the entire cycle but takes 3-4 hours to complete.

Something like this is caused by a blocked fill line or faulty water valve. I recommend checking the water supply & fill valve screens. Water valve; 285805, hose 76314 X’s2.

To check for clogged screens:

Turn off water and remove the inlet hoses from washer.

Remove any accumulated film or particles from the water inlet screen.

Make sure rubber washers are in the end of each inlet hose.

Reinstall hoses making sure there are no kinks in the hoses then turn on water and check for leaks.
