How do I connect the governor spring on a briggs and stratton engine?

The walk-behind lawn mower is part 917.388383. The governor spring is damaged and came loose. I want to order a new one, but I don't see a picture of how it is supposed to connect. Is there a diagram for this?

Lyle, thanks for the response. However, your picture doesn't look quite the same as on our mower. I'm trying to provide pictures to compare. You'll see from the picture that I have it jury-rigged right now, and it works. But the spring is stretched too taught, and the mower runs faster than it should. What I'm looking for is where does the spring attach to the front end of the mower. There is some sort of bracket there with lots of holes in it, but nowhere that the spring naturally attaches. And the attachment point in your picture isn't there. I'm also not sure what the bracket is for. It looks like it's supposed to hold something that's not there anymore. (I'm not the first owner of this mower.)

The pictures below should help you attach the governor spring. The end with the spring will attach to the bracket on the carburetor as shown. The other end will be attached to the ring in the top of the governor link.
