I have a new craftsman self propelled mower with the 160cc Honda engine, I ran one tank of gas and refilled with the same gas, now when I try to crank the mower as soon as the choke lever goes back to the off position the mower shuts off.

Without a model number of the lawnmower, I can't look at any information on it. If the answer I am sending doesn't help, send another email and include the model of the lawnmower.

You did not say how long the mower and the gas set between uses. Be sure the gas is no more than 5 weeks old, or has fuel stabilizer in it.

If you are able to, let the engine run longer before the choke is moved to the run position. In colder weather the engine should run on full choke until it warms up or begins to run rough.

The lawnmower has a 2 year warranty. If you are sure the gas is good, take the mower to a Sears Parts and Service Center or a Sears Retail Store for repair.
