kenmore series 90 washing machine won't stop filling

Kenmore Series 90 residential washing machine. 12 years old. During rinse cycle the supply water will not shut off. Have to turn off via manual shut-off valve. Is there a solenoid/relay that controls the water fill level?

I am having a similar problem with the same washer, I just replaced the water level switch and hose that connects to it from the tub and has not fixed the problem. Just wondering if you have gotten an answer yet to fix the problem

I need help fixing my washer. It is a Kenmore 90 series model 11022902100 Ser. CL3025449 Type III. When washer is filling with water it will not stop by itself; I have to push in the selector knob in the timer to stop it. Washer will not start the washing cycle at all. I have to move the seletor knob of the timer to the rinse cycle to drain the water and then it will stop by itself. I had replaced the timer already but it is still doing the same thing. Please someone help.

If the water will not shut off by pushing the timer in or by unplugging the washer and the only way to stop the washer from filling is by turning the water supply faucet off then the failure is the water inlet valve. If the water will shut off by pushing the timer in or by unplugging the washer then the likely failure is the water level pressure switch or the water level pressure switch hose has an air leak.

Without knowing the specific model number of your Kenmore washer I will not be able to provide part numbers or specific instructions. Resubmit your question with the model number and additional details for model specific troubleshooting and repair instructions.
