Kenmore Coldspot refrigerator not cold

my model 106.55524400 just started not being cold on the refrigerator side. Freezer side seems fine. I saw where there was a thread from 23 days ago where the answer man said he had the documentation for diagnostics. Could I have them as well?

Hi Mr_Ron,

Personally I am waiting for the appliance that just tells us what is wrong and how to fix it, or better yet fixes itself. Since that is unlikely, I found the manual and diagrams for your specific model. I also found an expert post with a similar question, but different Kenmore model number. I attached both links below. Hope this helps!

And Greetings to you as well Ms. Barbara H. Thank you very much. I'm evaluating the info. I wish they did fix themselves, but alas....... (Sears wouldn't get $150.00 to tell me what is wrong, plus the $$ it will take to fix it, the repair person wouldn't get $ to come and repair the fridge from Sears, the economy could collapse, Obama would have to add $$$ to the stimulus.... It's a vicious circle).

Trying to find the actual trouble shooting manual (it does exist), I managed to get a virus on my Kitchen PC, so I'm fighting that at this point. Almost done and I will start back on the fridge.

Again, thank you. It's nice to meet someone who cares!

Something like this is usually caused by moisture turning into ice & blocking the air flow from the freezer fan air damper into the refrigerator section. If the damper motor binds up check for frost & ice causing the problem. Please see the specific troubleshooting tips in the image provided below. Another possibility is the freezer fan moving too slowly. I have also included the tech service sheet you requested.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

Sears Home Services

.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

Hi everyone, we are having the same kind of problem with our model # 106.56573400. The freezer seems to be working fine and the fridge was warm after checking almost every site we could find we took of the back panel in the freezer and found ice buildup on the coils and in the what appears to be the return flow vent at the bottom of the fridge was blocked with ice. We also cleaned around the condenser and coils underneath the fridge to make sure of dust and dirt buildup was gone. After letting it sit overnight to defrost we plugged it back in and ran the diagnostic test from the manual and everything appears to be fine, so we are letting it run to see and notice the condenser fan is running a little slow and the doorjam between the freezer and fridge gets very hot to the touch, with trying to figure this out due to only having so much money to spend and not having enough for a tech to come fix it, we tried calling most places to see about any suggestions or help from them and after hearing the same thing over and over ( well without seeing it we really can't say for sure but for a certain fee we could tell you and fix it ) if we had to money to do that the fridge would be fixed by now so our question is if anyone can help with anysort of cure that would be great ? Thank You
