I need to replace part #41A4885-4 Gear and sprocket assembly on Model #13953964SRT - CRAFTSMAN.

The door started making a lot of noise. Do I need to replace part #41A4885-4 Gear and sprocket assembly on Model #13953964SRT - CRAFTSMAN? Is this difficult to do? Are any instructions available?

There should be instructions with this item. If you need more assistance submit a question and I will walk you through it. this job usually takes 2-4 hours if you have never done it before. Good tools to have for this are a set of nail sets and a set of nut drivers. Make sure and unplug the unit before you install this. Sometimes the rpm sensor goes out at the same time so keep that in mind. You can get this part at searspartsdirect.com. Thanks BB

Hi there,

A noisy garage door is not what you want to hear. A suggestion I have is to check the owners manual first. I attached the link for your model below. If down the road you need more help, another option is to visit SearsHomeServices and use the scheduler for an expert repairman. Hope this helps!
