Craftsman weedwacker wont prime. Changed fuel lines when bulb is pushed it makes bubbles in gas but gas does not travel up the fuel line.

Its a craftsman gas weedwacker model number 358.791590. It will not prime. I thought it was the fuel lines so I replaced them however when I push the bulb it does make bubbles in the gas tank but it does not move the gas up the line. I placed the fuel pickup on the larger fuel line. On the smaller fuel line I placed a plastic fitting(I'm not sure what its called) that I found in the tank after taking the old lines out. It looks like its suppose to connect two lines but I just put it on the end of the smaller line. Any assitance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hello, I can see you are having trouble with your weedwacker. I know how frustrating that can be when your appliance is not working when you need it to work. If you wuld like you can visit the sears home services website. I have attached the link below I hope this helps.

I am sending you an image showing the routing of the fuel lines for trimmers.

The fuel pick up goes on the small fuel line. The large fuel line is the return line. The plastic fitting you found must have come off an old fuel line. The return line sticks into the fuel tank about 2 inches.
