I agree with Barbara H. Check the owner's manual for instructions on lighting the pilot on your Kenmore range. This is the best source of information. She also provided a link for the general procedure for lighting a pilot light on a Kenmore range. If your range actually has a pilot light, this procedure may help you light it. Most of the Kenmore ranges that are still in operation have a glow bar igniter instead of a pilot light. In this type of range, you will likely need to replace the igniter if the oven won't light. If you need more help, submit additional details and the full model number of your Kenmore range.

I would suggest checking the owner's manual for correct instructions to light the Kenmore model in question. Just enter your model number at the link below for the Manual tab.
