What is the purpose of the shallow "pantry" drawer in my Kenmore refrigerator
My new Kenmore refrigerator has a wide shallow drawer, about 3 inches deep, labeled "Pantry." I consider a pantry a place to store non-refrigerated foods. Of course, I know I can use it however I wish, but I would like to know the thinking behind it.

For a very brief picture of your product and what the purpose of each individual component does is available to view on Sears Parts Direct. I have attached the link below if you are interested in viewing while waiting on a response from an expert. Hope this helps!
Thank you Alina F and Flo R, but that site didn't help. It shows all the parts of the pantry drawer and how to order them, but nothing about the purpose of the drawer. I would like to know, for instance, if it is meant for high humidity or low humidity foods and if it is either colder or warmer than the crisper drawers below it.
The pantry drawer was designed to cover small items that have already been open. For example, butter, small packets, ect.
