My Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator model 795.7102 will not set back to light saving mode, and the door alarm goes off every 30 seconds with all the doors cl

the light saving mode does not appear to work. I was able to disable it, but can not get it back? And the door alarm function does not work properly either. With it set to on the alarm goes off every 30 seconds with all the doors closed good.

I find one of the best places to begin troubleshooting is the owner's manual. I attached the link below for your manual. This may help while you wait for the expert answer.

Since the door alarm is going off, it is possible that you have a failed door switch. Although the image below is fuzzy, it shows information on how to check the door switches in this type of refrigerator. Check to see if the lights go off when both refrigerator door switches are pushed. You can

unplug the refrigerator

and check the continuity through the switch with a volt/ohm meter. If you find a bad switch, it will need to be replaced. If all of the door switches are okay, you may have a wiring failure or a failed electronic control board (micom) in the refrigerator. A service technician will normally need to diagnose and repair this type of failure. Here is a link for the Sears Service website in case you need it:

It is possible that a door switch or control board problem is preventing you from enabling the light saving mode. Once you resolve the issue with the door switch, you will likely be able to program the control properly to enable the light saving mode.

If you need more help, submit additional details and we will try to assist you further.
