I assume the dryer will immediately restart when you press the start button and if it will not and the dryer must sit for a few minutes before it will restart then it's likely a faulty motor.
The thermal fuse not likely causing the dryer to shut off. The dryer could be turning off if the door switch is on the verge of opening as if the door was being open while the dryer is running. Make sure the door is not trying to open while its running or it will shut the dryer off. A loose wire connection between the power supply, timer, door switch and motor can cause it to shut off while running. I added an image below of the circuit involved in keeping the motor running. Red is the voltage supply and the green is the neutral line. A loose connection anywhere in these two circuits can cause the dryer to quit running.
