My kenmore stove keeps giving a F1 error? Very hot! Turned off breaker. How do I reprogram it as it says in the manual?

After baking a pizza and turning of the stove, my stove (Kenmore model 790) just started back up. It began beeping with the F1 code blinking. It was really hot, as hot as it gets on the self-cleaning hot temperature. Even the top where the controls were hot. We followed the directions in the manual to hit cancel, but it would go back to beeping and blinking F1. We finally turned the breaker off and the stove turned off. When we turned the breaker back on, it came back on again without us touching it and started the beeping/blinking F1 again.

The manual mentions reprogramming, but doesn't say how. Please help or advise if possible!
