Hi BB Garage door,

The trolley was stuck on the trolley stop bolt. I did as you suggested and lossened the trolley unit to give enough slack to get it off. I reattached and replugged...the chain and dooe moved for about a foot before stopping with the motor still humming. I haven't been able to get it to move since. Do you think its the nylon gears? Is the door/chain out of cycle?
Also, the led light is not flashing now, but before I unplugged the initial time I believe it was flashing 4 or 5 times.

Any thoughts?

If the motor runs but the chain does not move then the nylon gears need to be replaced. If the motor runs and the chain moves but not moving the door then the trolley needs to be hooked up to the door. If the motor actually hums and does not run look at the trolley to make sure it is not stuck on the open trolley bolt. The led light on the unit may be flashing a certain number of times too. If so resubmit with this information. Thanks BB

How frustrating to have a garage door opener that just hums. While you wait for the expert answer, I found a web site with a similar question and I located the owner's manual. I attached the links below. Hope this helps!
