Need to recharge my 1997 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl engine air conditioner system.

I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl that needs the air recharged. What is the procedure and can anyone clarify it for a dummy about these things. I bought the recharging system but it is confusing about how and where to connect to the lines on this truck. Are the lines already plumbed for the hook-up connection?

Generally for a/c work the state requires you have to be certified to work on a/c/systems, because of the danger and hazardous environmental issues, your dealing with. I would suggest you take the "kit" back to the store and go to your local repair facility, with ASE certified techs., to perform the service. It's really not worth the money savings in comparison to the consequences. I've seen it first hand.

A working air conditioner is critical in the summer to keep the inside of the vehicle from becoming a oven. While you wait for the expert answer, you may want to check the web site I attached below. Hope this helps!
