The door handles broke off of my 106.50203993 Kenmore Elite refrigerator and freezer doors. Can these be replaced and installed by one of your techs?

The door handles broke/snapped off of my 106.50203993 Kenmore Elite refrigerator and freezer doors. The refrigerator and freezer doors are side by side. We tried gluing them back on, but it looks horrible and they usually snap off again shortly after.

Question 1: Can I purchase new door handles?

Question 2: Can the new door handles be installed by one of your techs?

It can be frustrating that your door handles broke to your refrigerator. To order your part you can visit the PartsDirect website and enter your model number. Yes, our tech can replace the door handle for you if you'd like but it can also be replaced by you depending on what tool you need to replace it. You can visit the SearsHomeServices website and use the service scheduler. I have provided the links below, I hope this helps!

You can order new door handles for the refrigerator from the

Sears PartsDirect

website. The part number for the handles for the refrigerator and the freezer door are both the same. The part number depends on the color. Here are the part numbers:

White -- 2206934W

Bisque -- 2206934T

Black -- 2206934B

Graphite -- 2206934J

You may also need other trim pieces. You can view the parts list diagram for your refrigerator and order additional parts if needed.

If you want a Sears Technician to install the handles, you can arrange service by visiting the Sears Service website. Here is a link for that website:

Sears Home Services

Note: If you want to attempt to install the handles yourself, you can try using this procedure:

Push the upper trim piece above the handle up and off of the door. Since you were using glue on the handle, you may not be able to get it off easily.

Push the lower trim piece down and off the door.

This will reveal hidden screws that secure the handle to the door. Remove the screws and replace the handle.

Replace the trim pieces on the door.
