My kenmore 80 series washing machine leaks from the bottom during the wash cycle when it's in heavy duty setting. Anyone know why?

Washing machine leaks about a 1/2 cup of water during the wash cycle in heavy duty mode. It leaks when it starts adding more water right in the middle of the wash mode. The leaking only lasts for a few seconds and then quits. Water leaks from the front right portion of the washer as you're facing it. It is a Kenmore 80 series Super Capacity Plus washing machine. Anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks.

From the description you give and the location you give I suspect the problem is with the bleach dispenser in the right front cover.

The dispenser may be okay but the tub ring with the bleach container and standpipe may be clogged.

You can raise the top and check this by adding water to the bleach compartment till it starts to siphon out.

The image below will show you how to raise the console and remove the cabinet so this can be checked.

If the dispenser is draining correctly then submit another question with any additional details for further assistance.
