The rear door on my 2006 Chev. Trailblazer won't stay up when I open it. What's wrong?

On my 2006 Chev. Trailblazer EXT, I can open the door at the back end of the vechile but it won't stay up.
What could be wrong?

I don't really know much about cars but something that always helps me is going to my local Sears Auto Center and have them take a look at my vehicle. I have attached a link below for you to view while you are waiting on a response from an expert. Hope this helps!

The rear door of your trailblazer has two gas filled struts that holds the door open. These struts fail and will not hold the door up. The struts are easy to replace and can be purchased from any local auto store. Most auto stores should be able to replace the struts for you or can give you the instructions. The strut will either have a metal spring clip that is released using a small screwdriver or have a nut that holds them in. have someone hold the read door while you remove and install the strut.
