why does my kenmore oven not heat the desired temperature? It stays at 100 degrees.

I have a kenmore gas wall oven model # 911.30465. Since it doesn't reach ever reach the temperature i want, i think it needs a new glow bar. Am I correct?

It can be very frustrating when the main purpose of a purpose just gives out. I have taken some time to further your search here on Manage My Life and I noticed that someone else had asked similar questions with a posted response from an expert. I have attached the link below if you are interested in viewing the web page so you can get an idea of what is going on with your air compressor while waiting for an expert response. Hope this helps, have a wonderful day!

On this type of diagnosis I recommend ohming out the glowbar with an ohmmeter. The glowbar should read approx 180-200 ohms resistance. If the glowbar is coming on but not lighting the burner you will need to replace the glowbar. Another possibility is the safety valve. If the broiler is not working also I suspect a control (clock) problem. Remember to

disconnect power

before attempting access.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
