One thing to understand is that there is a water heat stall but can last 20-40 minutes and everything would be normal. If the cycle never finishes then the problem is most likely the control. Try to confirm the heater is working. If the dishwasher stalls then open the door and see if things seem hot. If the heating element doesn't work then the cycle sill stall and not finish. I hope this helps resolve the problem but reply with any additional information for further assistance.

From the problem you're having I suspect the timer is at fault but sometimes the problem is caused by a water heat thermostat.

I can most likely help you with this problem but I will need a model number to help you with this problem.

Please reply with a model number for a specific answer to your question.

Having a dishwasher that is not going through all of its cycles is very inconvenient and I know that I use my dishwasher almost everyday so I want to help you. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I recommend you resubmit your question including the model number of your refrigerator so that the expert will provide a more detailed answer. I did manage to find a link that will provide you with more information about your problem. I hope my link is useful.
