I just hooked my maytag 3000 series front loader washer, modle number mhwe300vw12. It washed 1 load and the second it stop would not drain or spin.

I got a F-28 reading. I turned it off. Unpluged it and restarted the drain and spin cycle. I heard water and it did not spin or drain and i got another F- 28 reading. I did this several more times and nothing happen. Please help!!!!!

The F28 error code indicates a communication failure between the 2 main control boards. This type of symptom will involve accessing the control boards for inspection of the wiring harness. It sounds like the unit is new since you stated you just hooked it up. Something like this will be covered under warranty. I recommend calling for warranty service for the diagnosis & repair.

Today's appliances communicate through error codes, flashes and sometimes beeps or alarms. It can be very confusing. Whenever I see a error code on my appliance, I reach for the owner's manual. It normally has the cause and fix listed in the troubleshooting section. I have found this great link in Manage My Life website. I attached the link below. Hope this is profitable.
