My dryer is making weird noises, scratching hard moving tumbling grinding noises. what can I do?

the dryer is a kenmore, 9 years old and is making aweful noises, it doesn't always sound like it is moving at the start and I have to swing my body into it.

On something like this we will need a model number in order to provide you with model specific troubleshooting tips. If this is a standard Whirlpool built Kenmore dryer I recommend removing the drum so you can inspect all moving parts. It sounds like the motor, drum rollers or rear bearing, depending on the make & model.

I am sending you instructions on accessing the drum on the most common Kenmore dryer. If you have a different model please reply back with a complete valid model number for further assistance.
