Cu.ft. capacity of Kenmore washer model# 110.22974101?

I have a 9-year old Kenmore washer model# 110.22974101. Is there any way to find its cu.ft. capacity? Manual doesn't say it and Sears can't tell as it's an old model.

I have not had a lot of experience with this model only because of the cost. This model uses a belt to drive the basket where the models I recommended do not. They have the motor mounted on the shaft of the spin basket. Which means less parts and so far more reliable. These have a ten year warranty on the motor. I have checked the top of the line models and recommend the Kenmore Elite Ginger Elite 4.8 cu. ft. Front-Load Steam Washer featuring Smart Motion™ ENERGY STAR®

You are correct you do not need the matching dryer you can buy any dryer. just make sure the drum size is close to the same as the matching dryer.

Thanks for your reply. So, your suggestion is to get Kenmore machine ? I was looking at high end models. What do you think about Electrolux EWFLS70JRR ? Does it make sense to get their expensive dryer as well, or for dryers it doesn't really matter what brand and features ? I can't think of any "features" needed in dryer. I think it shouyld just dry :)

I have provided you with a link below. This is the washer I recommend. I have an older model of this washer and it works great. We wash comforters and quilts without a problem. We have other models from this manufacture that are also great washers. If the model does not have the features you want, look at other models that have a model number starting with 402. Samsung makes the 402 models. You can also look at models that start with 796. Those are made by LG. They are also good models. The performance out of both of these manufactures is outstanding. Once you pick washer the salesman can direct you to the matching dryer. I hope this is helpful.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I'm looking to buy a new washer for a family of 5. I want to get some latest greatest model, front loader, delivering best perfomance, efficiency , and features. I think it should be around 4.5 cu. ft. Any suggestions ? (And I need a matching dryer too:)

Thank you for your question.

I have checked the model number you have submitted. This washer is one of the largest top load washers we sold back then. It is a 3.5 cubic foot model.

Please add more details below if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

I understand that you want to know the capacity of your washing machine. A suggestion that I have for you while you wait on your expert response is going onto Sears.com and locate your washing machine which will have that information if you have any trouble maybe talking to a representative, by calling the number that is in the customer service tab at the top right hand corner, can help them identify the cubic feet for you. I have attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I have provided you is useful. sears.com/shc/s/search_10153_12605?vName=Appliances&cName=Washers%20%26%20Dryers&keyword=washer
