my #41788042700 kenmore dryer

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

my model 41788042700 kenmore dryer runs about 1 minute, then cuts off & all the lights start blinking. i have tried unplugging & reset. does not work. it goes through the test procedure fine.
i bought this dryer on black friday 2008 when the washer & dryer were 600 per set. i stored both units in their original boxes until this September when my daughter started to college. the dryer has literally been used for a couple loads. i hope this is not a sign of the what is to come as far as quality of this washer & dryer

I understand your concern about the quality of this laundry pair since you are having this problem with the dryer after only using it a few times. This is a dependable laundry pair. We can likely help you determine the cause of this problem and you can possibly fix it yourself.

The lights on the control should be signaling an error code as described in the technical information that I provided below. The first step in fixing this problem is to determine the error code that is being signaled.

The explanation of the error code may point you in the direction of the failure in your dryer. You will likely need more assistance once you determine the error code being signaled. Reply with the error code and any additional details that you can offer. We will assist you further once we receive more information.

Having a Dryer is one of the main appliance in a home so when you start having problems with it, it can get a little frustrating. When I have problems with my appliances I visit Sears Home Services website to set service with a Sears technician. I attached the link below. Hope this helps!
