I'm wondering if Sears Kenmore electric ranges have fuses and where they are located; half of the stove works and half does not.

I am not aware of a Kenmore 790 series range having a fuse that will cause the problem that you are having with the left side burners. A more likely cause of the failure would be a wiring problem or a control failure. There are many different types of Kenmore 790 series ranges. Some will use a control board to control the burners and others will use burner switches. Without a full model number for the range, I am not able to see the specific components that your range has. I recommend that you reply with the full model number of your range so that we can provide some specific troubleshooting help. We will assist you further once we receive the full model number.

You may find the model number on the side of the opening to the oven. It is sometimes on the base of the range in front of the right front leveling leg. Pull the bottom drawer out to view this area. Newer Kenmore ranges sometimes have the model number at the bottom of the oven opening. Open the oven door and look down to view this area.

It's Kenmore 790.series (I don't have specific suffix number). It's electric
The left stovetop and left side burner controls are not working; the right side and oven are working fine. I found the fuse box now I'm just uncertain how to change the fuses in this area

I understand your concern toward your range only working on some of the functions since you cannot make a descent meal with a half working range and I will be happy to help. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I recommend you resubmit your question and include the model number of your range and also add more detail of what sections of your range are not working properly so that the expert will provide you with a more detailed answer. I did manage to find a link that will provide you with more information about your problem: I hope my link is useful.
