On this model the back panel is not made to come off for servicing the unit. Only if you need to replace the back panel does it need to come off. On this model the complete cabinet will slide off from the front to allow access to all of the internal components of the washer. If you removed any screws from the back panel be sure to put them back in place before attempting to remove the cabinet. First

disconnect power

to the washer. I am sending you step by step instructions with pictures from the service manual on how to access the inside of your Kenmore washer. Please get back with us for further assistance if needed.
