how to change a motor belt on the treadmill proform xp 615?

My walking belt started slipping and making it tighter did not help. I looked inside and notices rubber shavings from the motor belt, so I am assuming that may be the reason (belt getting lose). Looking at the assembly, it looks a bit complicated so I thought about posting the question and see if anyone can help.

If the drive belt of the treadmill is slipping, you should be able to adjust it. To adjust the drive belt remove the cover. Now loosen the bolts that mount the motor. By hand, pull the motor back so the belt is tight. Now have someone tighten the mounting bolt while you hold the motor. Now carefully walk on the treadmill and make sure the belt is not slipping.

If you think, you need to replace the drive belt the instructions are listed below. We do not have any written instructions for replacing the drive belt of a treadmill. Please follow the steps below to aid you in the belt replacement.

Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor cover. The cover has three screws along the front and screws from the bottom.

Loosen the rear roller adjusting bolts.

Loosen the bolts that mount the motor to loosen the belt.

Remove the bolt in the front roller opposite of the pulley. Count how many turns it takes to remove it. When you are putting it back together, turn the bolt the same number to insure the same placement of the front roller.

Remove the roller and replace the belt.

Reassemble in the reverse order.

You will have to push down on the motor to tension the drive belt. When pushing down have someone else tighten the mounting bolts.

I have provided the instructions of how to adjust the walking belt.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
