How do I attach the handle to the freezer door on my Samsung RFG297AABP?

Hello, we just moved from the Houston, TX area to the Austin, TX area. The movers had a hard time getting our Samsung refrigerator (RFG297AABP) out of the old house. What they did was take the handles off the doors first and when that didn't work they removed the doors. When we got to the new house they could not figure out how to put it back together. Now I'm stuck trying to figure it out on my own. Since I didn't take this apart I'm having a hard time. I have a box of parts and I'm not sure what goes where. I have the freezer door back on and have the handle and some little plastic parts and a spring and cover for each side. Can some one help me figure this out?

Thanks
Richard

Jenni,

I looked up the instructions for removing the door on your model. The instructions for yours is a little different. I posted the instructions for you model below. Just click on the image to enlarge it. To reinstall the handle align the part of the handle with the door and push it down. The reinstall the cover.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I have a Samsung RB217ABPN. The attachment above shows how to take off the handle of the freezer. Unfortunately, it does not show how to put it back on. Doing the actions in reverse doesn't work. I can't get the handle in the right position. It looks like it should be half inch lower than what I can get it.

Thank you for your question.

I should be able to help you reinstall the handle on the freezer. I have provided you with the instructions for removing the door handle below. Use the images to aid you in reinstalling the handle. The spring should hold the slider in the forward/locked position. I hope this is helpful.

If you need more help, please reply with additional details.

I can understand how frustrated you might be in your situation. I placed a few things that might help you along. The first link that i placed is the Owner's Manual, it comes in very handy when it comes to fixing your appliance. The other link is where an expert provides information upon the door handles, I hope that it helps you.
