Is there any way to remove oven racks that were inserted backwards?

I have a Kenmore 790.7105 Gas Range on which the previous homeowners inserted the oven racks backwards. The racks won't tilt to pull out like they would if they were inserted properly, so there doesn't seem to be any way to get them out. Any one else ever experience this? Have any solutions? Thanks.

I can understand how disappointing it can be when your oven racks are difficult to pull out and you just can't seem to find a solution for your problem. An expert should be able to provide you with an answer within 24 to 48 hours. Hopefully you are able to fix your problem soon. Have a good day.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry that the oven racks got put in the oven backwards.

Yes! As a technician I have encountered this before, and it can be a challenge to get them out.

They went in so they have to come out. But they get bound up when you try to pull them out.

I do not know it they are right side up backwards or upside down backwards. It makes a difference when you have to get past the slide stop on the oven wall.

If you put a little baking oil on the side rails of the rack so when you are trying to get them past the slide stop you will need to lift up and down as you pull and oil with help then slide out more easily.

Then once you get them out and return them to the oven properly, wipe the excess oil off the oven wall and rack glide supports.

If you continue to have a problem, it may require a technician to get them out.
