Manage My Life

Question for a Craftsman snowblower #247883550. I need to remove a wheel to fix a tire that came of the bead of the wheel. How is the wheel removed.

I tried a socket on the hex nut and turned ccw to loosen but it felt like I was turning the drive. Whats the procedure to remove the wheel? Thanks you.

That's great to hear that you are willing to change the tire on your own. I was able to locate a few items that i believe will help you along. The first attachment is the Owner's Manual, it always comes in handy when it comes to specific information upon your tools, appliances, ect. I also placed a question that was similar to yours and an expert provided some information upon what to do, I hope that this information is helpful and useful.

Thank you for your question.

I have checked the model number you have submitted.

You are correct the wheel is secured with the bolt in the center. If the wheel turn and will not come loose I recommend having, someone hold the other wheel. That should keep the axle from turning. Once the bolt is broke loose support the snow blower with a stack of wood so the tires are off the ground. Then the wheel should come off. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
