Kenmore Elite model# 79575546401 Trio freezer door bottom won't close & seal properly. Gasket ok door does not shut at bottom to seal. Tight only at the top,

Kenmore Elite model #79575546401 Trio Freezer Door bottom won't properly close and seal. The top of the door seals nicely, but the bottom feels loose and leaves a gap. Defrosted and unplugged for a week and still no luck.

The information given was not very helpful. The door appears to be in good condition. Is there a way to tighten the bottom of the door could be pulled tighter via an adjustment on a hinge?

I'm sorry you are having this problem. First, make sure there is no obstruction in the freezer that could be keeping the door from closing. Also check the door itself to make sure it's not bowed. A straight edge will be needed to make this check. If there is no obstruction and the door is not bowed, this problem will normally be caused from the door bracket assembly (# 281C in picture). This can be a difficult part to replace and I recommend having a technician make this repair. I'm listing a link you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website:
