I can understand your concern. The information you have received is correct. I suggest checking the icemaker mold again and if there is any flaking, the icemaker # 2212352 will need to be replaced. If it's ok, I recommend replacing the filter # 9030. I hope this helps you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
the model # fails to bring up a user manual. how would I locate and get to the mold maker? thanks
model # failed to bring up a user manual. where is the mold maker (yes, I know it's in the freezer somewher) and how do I get to it?
The icemaker mold is in the icemaker. It's # 20 in the picture. The complete icemaker # 2212352 should be replaced for a defective mold. The mold # W10122550 itself is an expensive part and to replace it, involves completely disassembling the icemaker and rebuilding it. It's much more economical to replace the complete icemaker. I'm also attaching a picture of how to remove the icemaker. I hope this will help you.
