I am looking for instructions for how to reprogram a keyless entry pad that had been installed by the garage door but we have no code for since we have moved in. The brand is called OneForAll. I would appreciate suggestions and I am not quite understanding some of the previous posts on this topic, such as the smart button on motor head (are we talking about the smart button on the garage door opener unit or the keyless entry unit?) and by pressing the smart button, are we needing to reprogram everything such as keyless entry of the car which we have already programmed in? Thanks.

Thank you for the question.

I have taken the time to find a copy of the instructions for the touch pad. I have provided them below. I recommend erasing all of the code in the opener first. To do this push and hold the smart/learn button on the opener for 6 seconds. The reprogram all of the remotes. Doing this, will ensure only the remotes you have will open the door.

Programming Steps:

Locate the smart button on the motor head which is directly under the screw terminals where the push button and photo-cell wires connect to the unit and above the antenna wire. You may have to remove a lens or light cover to gain access to the learn button.

Push the smart button momentarily (Holding the smart button until the L.E.D. light beside the button goes out will erase all transmitter and keyless entries that are programmed into the unit) and verify the

L.E.D. light next to the button is lit solid.

Push the transmitter button that you want to use for that door within thirty seconds and before the

L.E.D. goes out. The L.E.D. will flash once and the transmitter will operate the door the next time the button is pushed.

If you have more than one door and a multi-button transmitter repeat steps 2-3 above for each door by using a different transmitter button for each unit. (Using the same button for more then one door at the same location will cause all the doors using that button to open and close at the same time and is not recommended.) The openers normally come with a single or a 3-button transmitter but 2-button and

4-button transmitters are also available as an option.

Repeat steps 2-3 above if you have more than one transmitter to program into your garage door opener.

If you need further assistance, please reply below with more details.

Easy as pie if the keypad is still working.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter

I found an instruction sheet for the replacement model (53867) of the access pad I currently own. The instructions worked perfectly and the code is reset. PLEASE NOTE: If the pad is currently installed, two people are required to reset the access code.

The instructions are as follows:

1. Lift the cover to access the keypad. Decide on a 4-digit code using numbers from 0 to 9. You can use a number more than once (for example, 4, 0, 4, 1)

2. Press the selected code digits on the keypad; THEN PRESS AND HOLD THE ENTER BUTTON, and press the SRT button on the Garage Door Opener end panel (Note, you need the second person to press the SRT button).

3. Depending on your opener model, when you press the SRT button either the opener light(s) will flash or the garage door will begin to move. Release the ENTER button.

Hopefully, this will save some people time searching on the internet.

If anyone has a copy of the instruction sheet that comes with the Keyless Entry Pad, I would really appreciate it if you could scan and attach a copy. I'm sure there have been many others faced with the loss of a single sheet of paper. :-)

Programing instructions for the Keyless Entry Pad is not included in the instruction manual for the Craftsman Garage Door Opener (139.53636SRT). The Keyless Entry Pad is listed as an optional accessory at the end of the opener's manual. The Keyless Entry Pad must come with an instruction sheet. I had one many years ago and cannot locate it now.
I have been changing the battery in the entry pad when needed, so I know that the battery is not the problem. It appears that one of the buttons for the access code no longer works and we need to change the code to other buttons that are working.
