washer leaking from detergent dispenser drawer.

My samsung wf337aa leaks from the detergent door during the rinse cycle. This is a front loader. I have checked the hoses and run hot water loads through it to reduce buildup of detergent. It still leaks during rinse cycle. Help!

I am having the same issue. The soap drawer is hot cracked, but it fills the compartment up and then water spills out the front. I have poured boiling water into the compartment, water drains fairly well, but when filling, the water comes faster than I can pour so I can't determine why it isn't draining very fast. I did start using a home-made powder and this happened within a couple of weeks of using it. A lesson was learned, but I need to figure out how to get my washer back in working order.

I think I found the solution to the Samsung leaking in a drawer with sliders. I noticed in some other (possibly newer models) they have a plastic piece that sits lower to cure the leaking problem. I simply lowered the sliders just below the locking slot (about 5 cm or so) and we haven't had a leak since. In my washer, I think the water was rushing against the top of the slider when it was all the way up and was causing water to run over the sides of the drawer. Hopefully our leaks continue to stay away.

I'm having the same problem with my Whirlpool Duet 4.0 CU and my washer was purchased in August of 2010 (NOT happy!). I only use HE detergent and always use at least half the recommended "serving" It only leaks on rinse not on fill. I've checked all the holes I can see from the drain in the door, to the drain from the dispenser to the basin of the washer. Where else can I check for clogging? Could one of the jets that shoots into the soap dispenser be "off" and shooting elsewhere?

Sorry for the confusion, it looks like one of our service pointers is mislabeled. I found the style of dispenser that you have & do not suspect this is going to be a problem.

At this time it looks like we need to make a few inspections to try & fine the root cause of the leak.

First; disconnect power to the washer. Remove the 2 screws holding the rear lip of the top panel & lift while sliding backwards to remove, see the image below for the screw locations & instructions.

Once you have the panel off you can check for signs of leaking.

If you do not see anything from the top or problems in the boot area I recommend calling for service, 1-800-4myhome.

Be sure to use HE detergent only & very little if you have a water softener.

Biker Dave, this picture you posted does not reflect the drawer in my washer. The siphon you show there is not in the drawer. There are sliders that slide up and down depending on if you use powder or liquid. I have checked all the hoses and even taken the pump off to see if it is clogged. All the hoses are clear and the pump seems to be as well. Help!! Thanks for your reply btw. :)

This is a known problem & has been corrected by the Mfg by lowering the height of the siphon cap 8.5mm.

The old siphon cap is white & the new one is blue. If you need to order the new drawer assembly the part number is; DC67-00444A

order parts here

Another possibility is clothing caught in the fold of the door bellows blocking the water inlet path.

After making these initial inspections please reply back if you need further assistance.

I have included an image of the old & new dispenser drawers in the attachment provided below.

Having an appliance we use on a daily base to start having problems can be really frustrating. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to add your whole model number to this thread so you can get a better answer from the experts!
