What's the best way to dispose of old batteries from electronics?

You don't mention what kind of battery you have. Rechargeable are easier to dispose of then regular dry cell "household" batteries.

Take the rechargeable batteries to any of the participating retailers. You can call the consumer helpline, 1-800-8-BATTERY, to find the retail collection site nearest you.

Regular household batteries that are not recyclable will end up in the trash.

I want to thank you personally for being truly considerate to Mother Earth. We all need to step up to the plate and do a much better job. This is a world wide dilemma and has to be address that way.
