Error codes can be quite a challenge to find out what they mean. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I was searching in the Manage My Life website and found a great link on your question. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. The F2/E6 fault code implies a Cancel key drive line open. This means the key pad ribbon connector could be loose or dirty where it connects to the oven control board or a faulty oven control board.

Press Cancel. If the error code returns after 60 seconds, replace the key pad. If it continues to display F2/E6 after replacing the key pad, replace the oven control board. The parts can be ordered from

Sears PartsDirect

I added an image below with information and instructions.

NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the oven before servicing.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

Before you start spending hundreds on new keypads and controllers (which are often unavailable and thus force into buying a hole new oven), consider this alternative: is a new company headed by electrical engineers with extensive experienced in circuit design who have turned their skills to the increasing problems with home appliance controllers. These error codes are frequently caused by circuitry problems which can be easily repaired.

E6F2, specifically, is a routine fix at FixYourBoard and will only cost on average $125.00
