ice maker kenmore elite m#106.58962700 coil for water valve

What voltage should I get at the coil for the ice maker? Also what ohms should I get? Do you have to get the whole water valve or can you get just the coil?

When repairing a product yourself it's good to know the proper voltages. The coils on this water valve are 120 volts. The ohm rating is not listed. However, if you get a reading, the coil is ok. If there is no reading at all, the coil is open and if it reads all zeros, the coil is shorted. If the coil or coils have failed, the complete valve # 4389177 will need to be replaced. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

Needing answer's for your appliance is very important to know. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Parts Direct website and speak with a Sears associate. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!
