How to route/hook up throttle cable on Craftsman Chain Saw 358.350203

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

46cc 20" Chain Saw

I rebuilt the carb but now cannot get the throttel cable hooked up. Just does not seem to work. What is the secret to get it routed correctly. Very frustrating to get this far and not be able to cut wood ?

The throttle cable should have a bar or another object attached to it that drops in a groove or fits into an opening on the throttle plate on the carburetor. The throttle cable attachment is normally secured with a screw or nut.

I am sending you some images of how some throttle cables attach.

Manufacturers use different carburetors and I can't be sure which one you have.

If this information does not help, take some pictures of the end of the throttle cable and the throttle plate of the carburetor it would attach to and reply on this thread. We will be glad to help.
