I have a kenmore elite side by side refrigerator m#106.58962700 and the Ice maker isn't working

The expert answered my question but asked me to jumber the L & v to see if water would come out the tube. my ice maker is number IM# W10190935 the plug only has four wires and the diagram that was sent to me has six wires when I tried to jump it the breaker tripped. I have white, black, tan, and green wires which ones should I jump to check to see if the ice maker is bad? I get water at the door to fill cups and have checked tube to make sure not frozen?

I'm sorry you are having this problem. The wires in the picture are at the receiver board connection. I'm sending you a picture of the receiver board. First disconnect power to the refrigerator and now disconnect this harness connection. Place the jumper between the black and black/white wires. Do not jump black to white, this is a direct short and will trip the breaker. The wires you have listed are, the wires going to the icemaker itself. These wires do not need to be checked at this time. Reconnect the power and with the harness jumped at the receiver and L - V jumped, water should flow to the icemaker. If water flows, replace the icemaker but if no water flows and you hear the humming sound, replace the water valve as stated previously. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:
