kenmore elite dishwasher. blinking normal wash button. washer not working

kenmore ultra wash elite dishwasher. model number 665.13889-k-800. will not work. cancel drain button will turn on the red light and pump a couple minutes. no other button will do anything. i have reset the breaker but did not leave off for a long time. i also have the control panel out of the machine and was told to check the buttons. can i take off the keypad without ruining it.

Thank your for your question and I understand your concern.

The key pad is part of the console assembly and is not designed to be removed and replaced. If the console tests faulty, the console assembly with the active overlay will have to be replaced as one assembly.

The console buttons can be tested using an OHM meter. I added an image below with the procedure of testing the key pad/console.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:
