I remember when I was little I use to love cleaning jewelry. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I was searching the web and found a couple of great links on how to clean gold. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!
Thanks Dezeray S. Just what I was looking for; a simple way, with "household goods" to do the job. As the articles note, if you wear gold every day, it will get dirty. And the chain that I'm about to clean, has been around my neck since November, to carry my beloved & belated, husband's wedding band.
It is not the best cleanser to use but if you are in a pinch it is ok to use once or twice. For best results and care of your jewelry you're better off using a cleanser especially for the metal/type of jewelry you need to clean.
Well, I think you should go to any Jewelers & you can ask them to get clean your jewelry...
Gold will not tarnish or rust. To clean it, simply use an ammonia based cleaner, like Windex and an OLD toothbrush. Soak it for a minute or two, scrub it and rinse it with fresh water. Greased Lightning does wonders too.
