If you're sure the water is coming from behind the manifold, check to see if there is a blown gasket or crack in the pump housing. Normally when we have complaints about water being blown from the pump it is due to the thermal relief or the failure of that part. The thermal relief is located on the manifold part of the pump though, almost direct opposite from the chemical (soap) injection hose port.

If it does appear as though there is a blower gasket or seal on the back side of the pump the machine will have to be serviced by a technician as the pump is not serviceable by the end user. Depending on when the machine was purchased, it may still be under warranty. Check your owner's manual for warranty information.

A water leak can be very pesky and seems to happen at the wrong times. Below I have provided you with a couple links that have some information on water leaks behind the manifold from a pressure washer. I hope these links give you some guidance.
