"OE" code appearing on Kenmore washer

I have a Kenmore washer, model 40272900, that is coming up with a code "OE". Not sure what that means? And it appears the washer is not spinning properly.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The error code "OE" indicates a drain error. This error will display if the washer is draining too slow or if it's not fully drained in within 10 minutes. This would also explain why it's not spinning properly.

The drain pump filter will need to checked and cleaned. I added an image below with the instructions.

I encountered the same problem with my Kenmore Model 79640272900 clothes washer. I was able to resolve the problem easily with the image posted by Joey S. Thanks, Joey!

Charlie: Your top loading washer does not have a drain pump filter. To access the drain pump the rear panel must be removed. Be sure that your using the correct type of detergent and not using too much or it could cause slow pump outs.

I have the same code but it is on a top loading model: 796.2927# which has no small trap door on the front for access to the pump filter. Does anyone know where it is on this model? Thanks

A washing machine is one of the most important household appliances due to the fact that it is just so convenient; it saves you time from having to go to a laundry mat and while you are doing other things around the house or just step out of the house you can wash a load all at the same time. So it can be a very big disappointment when the washer no longer works properly. I have taken the time to research on the Manage My Life website and have found some information that you may find useful. While you are waiting for an expert to reply I have attached a few links below.
