How to change oil in a Craftsman mower Model #917376542

by Manage My Life Last activity date:

We lost our manual for a Craftman 917376542 and we are wanting to find out how to change the oil. Can you e-mail a manual or give us a website to go to to find out?

Thank you for your question.

I have posted the instructions for changing the oil below. I recommend letting the engine run for a few minutes before draining the oil. This will suspend the contaminants and warms the oil so it will drain faster. Once the oil is drained tip the mower back up right and refill with SAE 30 motor oil. Make sure you do not over fill the engine with oil. I like to add 15 ounces and then start checking the level and add until full.

Please let me know if you need further assistance with the mower.

Keeping the oil in your mower maintained is important to prolong the life of the motor and I will be happy to be of some help. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find your owners manual online and I have added the link below. Please be patient and let the owners manual download and I hope you my link is useful.
