I have a TransAudio phono turntable Model #1800 that needs the drive belt replaced. It was in pieces when I checked it ,and I have no idea how to install .

The drive belt on my TransAudio phono turntable needs to have a new belt installed, but it was in pieces when I found it. I do not know how to install a new one or where to buy a new one. Also the drive motor has a place that has to be oiled, but I do not know what type of oil to use. Can I use turbine oil ?

When replacing a major part on your appliance I know how helpful it can be to have detailed instructions to make the project much easier. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find two links in where you can find parts for your appliance. I am also adding a third link that will provide you with some good tips to help you with your part replacement. I hope my links are useful.

Unfortunately, I do not have a owner's manual or any additional information that would help you replace the belt on your record player. What all have you done to see how the belt is ran inside the turntable? As far as oil, a simple 3 in 1 oil will work to lubricate the motor. There are several websites that have the belt available for about $20.
