Stove top gas burner will not ignite

I have a kenmore Elite stove. When I try to ignite one burner, it will not spark. It can be lit with a lighter, so gas is flowing still. However, when I turn on other burners, they work fine, but the affected burner will also spark (but not light). Stove is only a few years old. Everything works fine except that 1 burner. I tried cleaning spuds, everything.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The spark ignition switch located on top of the burner valve that will not spark and light has likely come loose from its mounting position or the igniter switch could be faulty. If you turn on any of the other burners and the affecting burner is sparking but not igniting when that burner valve is turned on, you will need to check the small holes in the burner base for restrictions next to the spark electrode. Also make sure the spark is jumping from the electrode to the burner base. The burner base must have a good ground in order for the spark to jump from the electrode to base.
