Bad tasting water from refrigerator.

We have a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator model# 795.78343.803 that we bought one year ago and had always had great tasting water from it for the year that we have had it. In the past month, the water from the dispenser has started to taste awful-musty and chemical. We changed the water filter and this did not improve anything. The water from the tap is fine. We have good quality lines going to the frig-not copper-but the flexible, ribbed, shiny metal ones and the water has never tasted funny. My question is: is there a water reservoir that needs to be cleaned? I have tried to read previous posts on this problem and it seems some frig models have coils of PVC tubing that are the "tank". Is this what this frig has? Can it be cleaned or does it need to be replaced? Can we have details on how to access it? Thank you kindly for any assistance.

Update. The supply line to the frig was the culprit. We replaced the braided plastic line (the name Eastman was on it) with copper. After a few years of suffering with horrible tasting water, the change was instantaneous. No more foul chemical taste in the water!! I recommend copper tubing to anyone having this problem.
